'Phone Prankster'
comes to Meridian

Nationally-known comedian Willie P. Richardson will perform Aug. 7 at the Temple Theatre in Meridian. The show starts at 7 p.m.
Known as "The Phone Prankster" to radio listeners throughout America, Richardson prides himself on the fact that his stand-up comedy and music show is completely "clean" and acceptable to all audiences.
Since 1995, Richardson has sold more than one million compact discs, and he performs an average of 60 concerts concerts a year. His latest CD is "King of the Phone Pranksters," and his new digital video disk is "The Phone Pranks Video."
Richardson received the 2001 Cammy Award for "Comedian of the Year" at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Also appearing on Aug. 7 will be comic Dominic Vroman as "The World's Smallest Elvis," and singer "Tugboat Jerry," who has previously performed at Jimmie Rodgers Day in Meridian.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the youth anti-drug and alcohol organization, "Get Hooked On Fishing, Not Drugs."
Advance tickets are $15, or $20 at the door on the evening of the performance. Tickets may be purchased in Meridian at Village Western Wear and Sam's Fashions.
