If you are looking for a pet, stop by Bonita Lakes Mall on Saturday and adopt one from the Lauderdale County Humane Society.
Because the number of abused, abandoned and unwanted pets continues to grow, the Humane Society will offer pet adoptions Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the mall's J.C. Penney Court.
Humane Society pets are usually current on shots, have been tested for heart worms and, if age permits, have been spayed or neutered.
Lee encourages anyone who may be interested in an animal to come to the mall Saturday and help the Humane Society. She warns, however, that no one should make a rushed decision about adopting a pet.
Lee stresses that unwanted pets are not to be dropped off at the mall.
