Mr. and Mrs. Ferdie L. Moore III of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Graham, to Michael Braden Ratchford, son of Jaquelyn Thornton of Warner Robins, Ga. and Michael Ratchford of Pensacola, Fla.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at 4 p.m. at East End United Methodist Church.
Miss Moore is the granddaughter of Anna Lois Moore of Meridian and the late Ferdie L. Moore Jr. and Mary Ann Taylor of Wichita, Kan. and the late Arthur K. Hodgin of Meridian.
The bride-elect attended Meridian High School and Tidewater Community College.
She is a homemaker in Virginia Beach, Va.
Mr. Ratchford is the grandson of Gertrude L. Plagge of Warner Robins, Ga. and the late Raymond F. Plagge and Carolyn L. Vandorp of Pensacola, Fla. and the late Richard T. Vandorp.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Santa Maria High School and served eight years in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Ratchford is a network engineer for Amerigroup Corp. in Virginia Beach, Va.
