Here's the latest damage assessments from Hurricane Ivan for East Central Mississippi provided by the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. Anyone who has received damage to their home or property as a result of Hurricane Ivan can report damages and request assistance by calling the Federal Emergency Management Agency at 1-800-FEMA (3362):
Lauderdale County: Two homes destroyed, 106 homes with major damage, 185 homes with minor damage, 37 homes affected, 1 mobile home destroyed, 20 mobile homes with major damage, 38 mobile homes with minor damage, 2 apartments with major damage, 7 apartments with minor damage, 3 apartments affected, 1 business destroyed, 3 businesses with major damage, and 10 businesses with minor damage.
Clarke County: 3 homes with major damage, 31 homes with minor damage, 6 mobile homes with minor damage and 6 businesses with minor damage.
Jasper County: 2 homes with minor damage, 2 homes affected, and 1 mobile home with minor damage.
Kemper County: 2 homes with minor damage.
Neshoba County: 1 home with major damage and 2 homes affected.
Newton County: 2 businesses affected.
