Bill and Tjwanna Heblon of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda, to Jon Mowery, son of Ernie and Nyoka Mowery of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Miss Heblon is the granddaughter of the late Charles James, Barbara James of Chunky, Melvin and Josephine Heblon Carter of Meridian and the late Albert C. Heblon.
The bride-elect is a 2003 honor graduate of Meridian High School and attends Meridian Community College majoring in special education.
While attending MHS, she was a member of Interact, the honor society, the swim team, Who's Who Among American High School Students and PEER Mediation.
Mr. Mowery is the grandson of the late Ernest Lee Mowery of Amarilla, Texas.
The bridegroom-elect attended Clarkdale High School, where he was a member of the football team.
Mr. Mowery is employed by Esco Corp. in Newton.
