Lady Bulldogs roll past Wayne

It's full-steam ahead for the Clarkdale Lady Bulldogs as they try to wrap up the Division 7-2A championship tonight at home in a game with Enterprise.
Tonight's Enterprise game is a makeup game that was delayed because of Hurricane Ivan. The varsity game starts at 7 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs up their record to 20-3 following the win over Wayne County. They stand at 6-0 in the division.
Clarkdale outhit the visitors 15-5. Wayne County was charged with seven errors.
Twelve players went to the plate in the first inning. Alyssa Bye led off with a triple and scored on Kimbo Seale's single. Ashley Bye got on base with a single, and she and Seale scored on Sabrina Woodall's double, making the score 4-0. The Lady Bulldogs would add two more runs before the first out was recorded, with Whitney Drachenberg and Savannah Satcher crossing the plate. Lauren Robinson and Cayla Coleman also scored during the inning, and Clarkdale led 8-0 after one.
The Lady Bulldogs offensive machine got cranked up again in the third inning with 12 batters going to the plate and six runs being carded. Chassidy Roberts got on with a triple and came home on an error. Coleman and Alyssa Bye scored on Seale's double. Seale, Woodall and Drachenberg also crossed the plate during the inning.
Roberson put his junior varsity team in to finish up the fourth inning, and they held Wayne County scoreless.
Wayne County put the ball in play throughout the game, and Roberson was pleased with the way his defense responded.
After hosting Enterprise, the Lady Bulldogs entertain Union on Thursday.
