ECCC announces new GED orientation, testing schedule

East Central Community College has announced a new general educational development orientation and testing schedule for classes offered on the Decatur campus.
Effective Nov. 3, GED orientation will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays in Room 4 of Ethridge Hall. Anyone interested in taking the test should bring a valid picture identification and the testing fee of $12 per section or $40 for all five sections.
Students 18 and under planning to attend orientation also should provide a drop slip confirming they are no longer attending high school.
GED testing will be on Fridays following the Wednesday orientation sessions. Testing begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at about 4 p.m. Those taking the test will again need to bring picture identification as well as any paperwork given to them at orientation.
