Ida Ruth Thorne Jones, age 93, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2004.
Mrs. Jones was born in Franklin County on Thursday, October 27, 1910, to Ellis Loe Thorne and Verdner King Thorne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Jones; her parents; and two sisters, Druzy Tiberg of Upland, California, and Castle Sisson of Russellville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2004, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry D. Dover officiating. Interment was in Bonds Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mrs. Jones' nephews.
Mrs. Jones is survived by two sisters, Rammie Oden of Russellville, and Jerelene Richie and husband William, of Florence; two brothers, Sardis Thorne of Tuscumbia and Arto Thorne of Killen; seven nephews; and six nieces.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
