Services for Carrie Benson will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church on King Road with the Rev. Charlie Watson officiating. Burial will be in Galilee Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Benson, 53, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She worked at Meridian Cab Co. for more than 21 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Vanessa Kincaide and Reneemka Benson, both of Meridian; a son, John Benson Jr. of Detroit; a sister, Sandra K. Clark of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Carl Wesley Bell of Meridian; and three grandchildren, Orlando R. Kincaide, Deandra J. Benson and Deshandra M. Trussell, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.
Visitation will be Friday 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Services for Phillip A. McLelland were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Lofton officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. McLelland, 80, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in his home. He was a member of Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church, the Easy Street Investment Club and a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater.
Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis M. Gaston and her husband, Pete, of Meridian; granddaughters, Amanda Gaston Cross and her husband, Myles, of Meridian and Lucy Gaston Blair and her husband, Josh, of Brandon; a great-grandchild, Mary Gaston Blair of Brandon; a brother, James T. Garrett of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy E. McLelland; and his mother, Annie Kate Garrett.
The family requests memorials be made to Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Myles Cross, Josh Blair, Jimmy Garrett, John Phillip Garrett, Clay Garrett and Jacob Garrett.
UNION Services for Evelyn Ann Walters will be held today at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holder officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Ms. Walters, 73, of Newton, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at Silver Cross Home in Brookhaven. Ms. Walters will be remembered as a person who dedicated her life to helping others. She was a member of the Newton United Methodist Church and served many years with the Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Boutwell and her husband, Raymond, of Brookhaven; a son, Bill Walters and his friend, Ben Jones, both of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Lori Ann Boutwell, Samantha Boutwell and Ethan Boutwell, all of Brookhaven; sisters, Jonnie Wheeler and her husband, Tom, of West Palm Beach, Fla., Charlotte Hall and her husband, Franklin, of Jackson, Kitty Kelly and her husband, Lyndon, of Carthage and Linda Herrington and her husband, Jerrel, of Union; and a brother, Jimmy Holder and his wife, Betty, of Laurel; and a brother-in-law, Loyd Walters and his wife, Betty, of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowery Walters.
Pallbearers include Jeff Hall, Barry Hall, Todd Ward, Layne Kelly, Lynn Kelly, David Holder and Vince Herrington.

YORK, Ala. Services for John Robert "Bobby" McDonald Jr. will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Gandy officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Mr. McDonald, 92, of York, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis.
Survivors include his sister, Ruth Trudell of Stroud, Okla.; a step-daughter, Virginia R. Dunnam of Linden; a step daughter-in-law, Peggy Raybon of Selma; one nephew, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel R. McDonald.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service.

QUITMAN Graveside services for Janie Josephine Allen Riley will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Riley, 75, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda McNeal and her husband, Durwood, of Quitman; brothers, Sidney Allen and his wife, Annie, of Matherville and Paul Allen and his wife, Sarah, of Jayess; sisters, Mildred Cunningham of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Martha King of Waynesboro; a grandson, Lance McNeal of Quitman; a granddaughter, Emily McNeal Toney and her husband, Shaun, of DeSoto; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Riley; her parents, Henry J. Allen and Susie S. Allen; sisters, Mary Taylor, Gladys Jones and Nita Allen.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Charlie M. LeFlore will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Grover Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Lauderdale.
Ms. LeFlore, 68, of Toomsuba, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Ann LeFlore of Toomsuba and Kim Pringle and her husband, Derrick, of Meridian; a son, Bobby Hunter of Toomsuba; a sister, Shirley LeFlore of Toomsuba; a brother, James LeFlore of Toomsuba; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
