Kristen Kaye Rolison and Thomas Michael Oates Jr. were married Saturday, June 5, 2004, at 5:30 p.m. at Cooper's Chapel United Methodist Church in Quitman with the Revs. Alfred Braddock and LaVaughn Landry officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paul Mosley, Ronnie Dale Rolison of Quitman and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Michael Oates Sr. of Quitman.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. H.E. Rolison and the late H.E. Rolison and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Daniels, all of Quitman.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Gaylon Brooks Hubbert Sr. of Quitman and the late Mr. Hubbert, and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Marvin Oates Jr. of Bay Springs.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Dianne Holloman, pianist; Dana Mayo, vocalist; and Paul Sims, sound technician. Welcoming the guests to the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Carter.
The bride was given in marriage by her family. She wore a satin A-line dress enhanced with an apron back and organza inset, and embellished with metallic beaded embroidery.
Maid of honor was Emily Dale Rolison, sister of the bride. Other attendants were Rebecca Dickerson Cooley, Rebecca Ann Holloman, Audrey Evans Ivey, Brandy Leigh Sims and Emily McNeal Toney.
The father of the bridegroom was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Jacob Ashton Ivey, Quentin Eugene Johnson, Lance Wood McNeal, Bradley McClellan Oates, William Shaun Toney, Jacob Kamron Chancellor, Joshua Klarke Chancellor and Matthew Trent Mayo.
Cross attendant was Bailey Elise Albritton and Bible attendant was Graydon Alex Albritton.
Program and registry attendants were Georgia Lee Belvin, Jennifer Paige Funck and Donna Rebecca Garner.
A reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents on Archusa Lake.
Assisting at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. James N. Albritton, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hailes Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Claiborne Traweek.
The couple departed the reception via a party boat on the lake with a fireworks display as a backdrop.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Quitman.
