Anyone unable to cast ballots at their precinct in the Nov. 2 general election can still vote absentee but time is quickly running out.
Absentee ballots are available in the Lauderdale County Circuit Clerk's office from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. They also will be available from 8 a.m.-noon the last two Saturdays of the month, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30.
The deadline to file absentee ballots is noon Oct. 30.
Lauderdale County Circuit Clerk Donna Jill Johnson said Monday that absentee voting is primarily for people who will be unable to go to their voting precincts on election day.
She said absentee voters can include people who will be away on vacation, people who work out of town, college students, traveling salespeople and truck drivers.
Have any more questions? Call Johnson's office at 482-9731.
