Felicia M. Brown of Lauderdale and Sampson Thomas Hudson III of Meridian were married Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at Bridge Builders Church with the Rev. Jessie Beverly officiating.
Parents of the couple are John J. Brown and Mary A. Brown of Lauderdale, and Linda Faye Hudson of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Jannie Mae Gibbs Jones and Levi Gibbs, and the late Johnny Noah Brown and Minnie A. Brown.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Margaret McCelland and Willie McCelland, and the late Pauline Clark.
Vocalists for the wedding were Leslie Gibbs, Stacey Rogers and the bride.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white strapless satin gown with rhinestones and pearls on the bodice.
Leslie Gibbs of Toomsuba was maid of honor. Letita Watson of Meridian was the matron of honor. Other attendants were Latonya Hudson, Lesabra Baskin and Santerio Heidelberg, all of Meridian, and Tomeka Hopson of Toomsuba. Katara Williams and Timeka Watson, both of Meridian, were junior bridesmaids.
Jessica Sturdivant and Brenesha Brown, both of Toomsuba, and Oshnia Johnson of Meridian served as flower girls. The little bride was Sambresha Hudson of Lauderdale.
Ralpheal Roberts of Meridian was best man. Groomsmen were Antonia Thedford and Denthony Lard, both of Lauderdale, Charles Anderson and James Brown, both of Meridian. Junior groomsmen were LaJamian Brown of Lauderdale and Kari Hudson of Meridian. The little bridegroom was Deandre Gibbs.
Bell ringer was Zaciyah Moton, Bible carrier was LaJermaine Latham and ring bearer was Ladarrius Latham. Ushers were Zaccheus Smith and Pierre Smith. Prayer was said by Edward Cooper and the Rev. Jason Davis. Scripture reading was done by Sister Neshell Montgomery. Hostesses were Ruby Stokes, Shirley Gibbs and Jeannetta Nelson.
A reception was held at Union Station following the ceremony.
