UNION Services for Evelyn Weaver will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Union City Cemetery.
Ms. Weaver, 79, of Union, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in Union. She was a member of the Lucern Church of God.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim Breland and her husband, Danny, of Union; two sons, Glenn Weaver and his wife, Dewane, of Houston and Marty Weaver and his wife, Pam, of Madison, Ala.; four grandchildren, Grey Weaver, Grant Weaver, Katy Weaver, and Charlie Weaver; four sisters, Willie Mae Davis of Raymond, Ruth Dowdle of St. Francisville, La., Flora Thorton of Raymond, and Rebecca Jeffcoat of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorial be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be today from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Sadie F. Burt will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Meadows and Ray Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Burt, 92, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, in Meridian. She was a member of Lost Gap Methodist Church and the Salvation Army Ladies Home League.
Survivors include a daughter, Lula Weir and her husband, Willard, of Meridian; two sons, Donald Burt and his wife, Joyce, of Brandon and Charles Burt and his wife, Martha, of Anchorage, Alaska; seven grandchildren, Angelia Welborn and her husband, James, Rebecca Weir, Franklin Weir and his wife, Haley, Charles Burt and his wife, Brenda, Sheri Wilkins and her husband, Allen, Brian Burt and Kevin Burt; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludie "Buck" Burt; a granddaughter, Leisa Bowman; and a great-grandson, Vince Busby.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Frank O. Hodgins will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Hodgins, 83, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service clerk and was in automobile sales for many years in the Meridian area. He was a World War II veteran, a D-Day participant with the 81st Chemical Mortar Battalion in the U.S. Army. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and telling tall tales and was lovingly known as "Big Daddy" to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the many friends and family whose lives he touched.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Loise Hodgins of Meridian; a son, Gary Hodgins and his wife, Sandra, of Meridian; two daughters, Gloria Evans and Debbie Scarbrough and her husband, Ray, all of Ormond Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Kimberly Waddell, Jason Hodgins, Todd Evans, Stephanie Evans, Greg Evans and Nikki Scarbrough; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, W.R. Hodgins and his wife, Betty, of Valdosta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Fairy Hodgins.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hodgins, Todd Evans, Greg Evans, Ronnie Hughes, Dannie Hughes, Ray Scarbrough, and Terry Waddell.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Sandra Keen Plummer will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Malcolm Lewis, Curtis Dyer and Danny Lanier officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Plummer, known to many as "Sunny," died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004. She was the winner of Meridian's first Soap Box Derby, in 1948 and was a member of the Dusty Club and the Junior Auxiliary.
She also was a homemaker and a dedicated and award-winning quilter. She was a former president of the Mississippi Quilter's Association and of the Meridian Magnolia Quilter's Guild. She was a charter member of the Nimble Thimble Quilt Guild in Philadelphia. She was a member of Island Quilters in Gulf Shores, Ala., the American Quilt Association in Paducah, Ky., the Gulf States Quilt Association and the International Quilt Association in Houston. She taught basic quilting for Meridian Parks and Recreation for 10 years.
She became a member of Northcrest Baptist Church in 1987. During her lifetime she taught Sunday School at Northcrest Baptist, First Christian Church, Blackwater Baptist Church, Union Baptist Church, and Beatline Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, J. Terry Plummer of Meridian; five children, Guy Plummer, Cindy Culpepper and Terry Plummer, all of Meridian, Sherry Armistead of Nashville, Tenn., and Linda Miller of Wiggins; seven grandchildren, Jim Culpepper, Michele Culpepper, Courtney Rayburn, Aaron Armistead, Amber Plummer, Christy Plummer, and William Castillo; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Armistead and Ollie Rayburn; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mai and Joe Sanders of Meridian and Lou O'Leary and David Hamilton of Owensboro, Ky.
Her many friends include: Judy Hines, Bettye White, Judy Russell, Barbara Thompson and all of her quilting friends; her traveling buddies, Curtis and Faye Dyer, Joe and Rebecca Noty, Jack and Betty Ledbetter, Paul and Bonnie Mink, and Jimmy and Phyllis Prince; and her special buddies and caretakers, Tanya Boleware, Donna McGill, Sharonica Hill, Kathy McNeil, Michelle Addy, Tasha Darby, Dr. John Mutziger, Sandra and Earl Coates, and all of the people from Serenity Hospice.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Walter Raymond Irby will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Irby, 90, of Pensacola, Fla., died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, in Pensacola.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
