PHILADELPHIA Services for Levon Turner will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Edinburg with the Rev. Billy Henry officiating. Burial will be in Wilcher Cemetery in Leake County. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Turner, 65, of Edinburg, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a 100 percent disabled veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Turner; daughters, Regina Thornton and Tina Smith, all of Edinburg; sons, Tim Turner of Sallis and Ronny Turner of Edinburg; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five brothers and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Services for Walter Raymond Irby will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Wayne Riley and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mr. Irby, 90, of Meridian and Pensacola, Fla., died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, in Pensacola. He co-owned Liberty Bell Oil Company (Southland Gas) service stations with the late J.P. "Hezzie" Dunaway from 1945 to 1976. He was a member and deacon at Southside Baptist Church now Central Baptist Church since 1934. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Cork Irby of Meridian and Pensacola; a daughter, Barbara Thrash and her husband, Doug, of Stafford, Va.; sons, Danny Raymond Irby and his wife, Della, of Destrehan, La. and Steve Irby and his wife, Elizabeth, of Pensacola; grandchildren, Christopher Raymond Irby, Jonathan Irby and Lindsey Irby; a sister, Betty Ruth Moore and her husband, Kelva, of Meridian; and a half-brother, Aubry Irby of Meridian.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Robin Elizabeth Shepherd will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Joe Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Miss Shepherd, 41, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at the Mississippi Firefighters Memorial Burn Center in Greenville.
Survivors include her mother, Jimmie Dale Shepherd of Philadelphia; a sister, Edwina Carreno of San Diego; and a half-sister, Elena Carreno of Los Angeles.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Kathryn Owen will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Dadeville City Cemetery in Dadeville, Ala. with the Rev. Dr. Jason Bird officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Owen, 83, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. She was a member of Fifthteenth Avenue Baptist Church in Meridian.
Survivors include her sons, John Owen of Tucker, Ga. and Jim Owen of Meridian; a daughter, Kay Estill of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa Estill, Brian Owen, Beth Owen, Jordan Owen, Lindsey Owen, Ryan Owen, Allen Owen and Wade Owen; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Jack Estill and Maura Estill; and a sister, Lynne Watson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Owen.
Services for Marie Clark will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Clark, 84, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for George Dewitt "Dee" Vandevender will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Vandevender, 59, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for John Henry James, 79, of Meridian, who died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, in his home.
Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for R.C. Hamilton, 67, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Willie Ruth McKinion, 77, of Meridian, who died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare Center.
