Phil Campbell mini-midgets finish off undefeated season

The Phil Campbell mini-midgets football team recently put the finishing touches on an undefeated season.
Phil Campbell defeated Vina 6-0 this past Saturday to improve its record to 8-0. That perfect record includes a jamboree game and a playoff game.
Ryan Scott scored the winning touchdown against Vina on a run up the middle for the only points of the game.
Phil Campbell had defeated Belmont (Mississippi) the week before to clinch the mini-midget league championship before capping off a perfect season with the victory over Vina.
The mini-midgets league consisted of three teams from northwest Alabama (Phil Campbell, Vina, Bear Creek) and one from northeast Mississippi (Belmont).
