Susan Hollenbeck Speed and Marvin Bennett Speed, both of Meridian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Susannah Bennett, to Wesley Price Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wood of Nashville, Tenn.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church of Meridian.
Miss Speed is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wade Hollenbeck of Steele, Mo., and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Marvin Speed of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Wood is the grandson of Mrs. Thomas Hagan Sr. of Nashville, Tenn. and the late Mr. Hagan, and Mr. and Mrs. E. Gregory Wood of Moss Point.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Brentwood Academy and received a bachelor's degree in business administration in insurance from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Wood is employed by Mass Mutual of Memphis, Tenn.
A reception will be held at Union Station following the ceremony.
