Trojans pick up another victory

Northeast Lauderdale's boys basketball team kept its record spotless in the Trojans' second game of the season.
Northeast defeated Bay Springs 73-68 on Thursday. The win improved the Trojans' record to 2-0, and Bay Springs fell to 1-1.
Alex Ford poured in a team-high 31 points for Northeast, and Maurice Langston added 20.
Reggie Shellwood notched a game-high 33 points for Bay Springs, and Regis Huddleston tallied 13.

Nadosha Strickland tallied a game-high 22 points for Bay Springs in a win over Northeast Lauderdale on Thursday.
Jasmine Payne added 15 points for Bay Springs.
Todesha Clayton led Northeast's offense with 14 points, and Shaquita Bell tallied 13.
Quitman (boys) 45
Newton Co. 41
Quitman High School's boys basketball team notched its first win of the season on Thursday. Quitman is now 1-1.
Raderious Owens tallied 15 points for Quitman, and Jamion Robinson added seven.
Willie Windham scored 12 points for Newton County, and Otis Harrison added 11.

Newton County's girls basketball team claimed a 40-point victory over Quitman on Thursday.
Danielle Gaddis led all Newton County scorers with 18 points. Audre DuBose scored 14, and Le'Eshaa Wesley added 11.
Rebecca Riley and Aswandra Cooks each tallied eight points for Quitman
