Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Busler of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Leigh, to Seth Kenton Misenar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Misenar Jr. of Brandon.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church.
Miss Busler is the granddaughter of Mary Busler of Meridian and the late Willis Busler, and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Smith of Poplarville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and received a degree in public relations from Mississippi State University. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in education at Belhaven College.
While attending MSU, she was a member of the Campus Activities Board, the Adopt-a-School Program and Phi Mu Sorority.
Miss Busler is employed by the Jackson Public School System as a fourth grade teacher at Lester Elementary School.
Mr. Misenar is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. D.P. Lowe of Shawnee, Okla., the late Robert Misenar Sr. and the late Jackie Andrews. He is the step-grandson of Phylis Misenar of Howell, Mich., and Art Andrews of South Peloit, Ill.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Math and Science and received a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Millsaps College.
While attending Millsaps, he was a member of the Honors Council, Physics Club and the Ford Fellowship Program. He is employed by N Sight Technology in Jackson.
A reception will be held at the Meridian Museum of Art following the ceremony.
