Caperton, Armstrong

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Gibson of DeKalb, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caperton of Houston, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Holmes Caperton, to Christopher Clayton Armstrong, son of Criss and Betty Armstrong of Pontotoc.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at 6 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church.
Miss Caperton is the granddaughter of Esther McWilliams Smith and the late Robert Nelson Smith, Edith Weaver Davis and the late Henry B. Davis, and Henry B. Caperton Jr.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Kemper Academy and received a bachelor's degree in food, nutrition and dietetics from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, she was a member of Kappa Omicron Nu, Phi Kappa Phi, the Golden Key National Honor Society, Who's Who Among American College Students and a magna cum laude graduate.
Miss Caperton is employed by Rush Foundation Hospital as a registered clinical dietitian.
Mr. Armstrong is the grandson of Varie Gross Wileman and the late Elmer Gross, and Bernice and Dorothy Goggins, all of Tupelo.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Pontotoc High School and Mississippi State University. He received a master's degree in education from the University of West Alabama.
Mr. Armstrong is employed by East Mississippi Community College as a history teacher and head men's basketball coach.
A reception will be held at Briarwood Country Club following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
