Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Albert Leggett of Raymond announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Lynn, to Alan Leach Tingle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross F. Tingle Jr. of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Raymond.
Miss Leggett is the granddaughter of Camille Parkman and the late Harrell D. Parkman, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Leggett Sr., all of Clinton.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clinton High School and received a degree from Hinds Community College. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Miss Leggett is employed by the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson as a neonatal nurse.
Mr. Tingle is the grandson of Mae Carol Leach and the late James Ross Leach, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross Franklin Tingle Sr., all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a degree in exercise science from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Mr. Tingle is an exercise physiologist at The Club in Brandon.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
