NATCHEZ Services for Johnny Reynolds Jr. will be held today at 9 a.m. at Littlejohn's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Egypt Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds, 60, of New Orleans, formerly of Natchez, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Canon Hospice.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Ambers Reynolds; daughters, Erica Reynolds of Atlanta and Tammy Ivery; brothers, Walter Reynolds of Jackson and Clarence Reynolds of Natchez; sisters, Mable Reynolds Hopskin Oatis of Meridian, Barbara R. Palmer and Annette Reynolds, both of Natchez and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Retired
Services for Robert "Bob" Friedenreich will be held today at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Elvin Sunds officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Friedenreich, 65, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a retired officer of the U.S. Navy and retired from Rea, Shaw, Griffin and Stuart. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Friedenreich of Meridian; sons, Lt. Cmdr. John Friedenreich and his wife, Kathy, of Springfield, Va., and William "Bill" Friedenreich and his wife, Angela, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a sister, Cathy Friedenreich and Alan Black of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, William Friedenreich of Meridian and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Charles Friedenreich and Josepha Friedenreich.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Terry Dubose, Jim Bass, Alan Black, Larry Cannon, Jonathan Taylor, Robert Threatt and Michael Smith.
Retired banker
A private family service for Walter I. Jones will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. John Temple officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jones, 79, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II in both the Atlantic and the Pacific theaters. He was a member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was past local and district officer of Civitan International, a graduate of Meridian High School, Harvard University School of Business Administration for Senior Bank Officers and LSU School of Banking of the South. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a retired banker, having served in banks in Meridian and Louisville for more than 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Kathryn McNeal Jones of Meridian; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Jones of Meridian and Hilda Clark of Madison; and a special niece, Donna Clark Temple of Madison.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Edward "Jackie" Alexander will be held today at 8 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Rev. Duaine Morgan officiating.
Mr. Alexander, 52, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Care Center of Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda Alexander of Philadelphia; daughters, Rachel Alexander of San Diego and Sarah Alexander of Philadelphia; a son, Billy Alexander of Little Rock; his mother, Willie Mae Alexander of Philadelphia; a sister, Barbara Cole of Philadelphia; brothers, James Alexander of Mobile, Ala., John Alexander of Gulfport, Jason Alexander of Philadelphia and Joe Alexander of Carthage and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
Visitation will be today beginning at 6 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
JACKSON, Ala. Services for Dorothy Merita Brown Anderson will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Anderson, 82, of Jackson, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004.
Survivors include her son, Adna Crear "Chuck" Anderson III and his wife, Martha Singleton, of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Dorothy Rebecca Anderson Coate and her husband, Livingston Marmaduke, of Spanish Fort; a sister, Carolyn Brown Curtis of Meridian, Miss.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the Methodist Childrens' Home, Juvenile Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Slayton, 61, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Slayton of Meridian; daughters, Angela Leigh Campbell of Gray, Tenn., Tiffany Ann Allen of Fuquay Varina, N.C. and Shelly Slayton of Hattiesburg; a son, Gary Mack Slayton of Pearl River, La.; a sister, Frankie Sue Smith of Houston; a brother, Tommy Smith and his wife, Ann, of Houston; his mother-in-law, Jessie Slayton of Meridian; sisters-in-law, Diane Brewer and her husband, Johnny, of Marlton, Ark. and Marie Anderson and her husband, Turk, of Mitchell, Ind.; brothers-in-law, Billy Ray Slayton and Buddy Slayton, both of Meridian; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Frank Smith and Mary Elisabeth Weaver Smith and his father-in-law, Aubrey Slayton.

Mrs. Spinks, 79, of Enterprise, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her sons, Albert L. Spinks and John T. Spinks, both of Meridian and Rufus T. Spinks of Susin, Calif.; a daughter, Margarette Wilson of Hickory; a brother, Percy Walker of Meridian; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hervy Spinks.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Gibbs, 71, of Long Beach, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, in Gulfport Memorial Hospital.
