Marla Sharon Montgomery and Robert Lee Workman Jr. were married Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 5 p.m. at The University Club in Tuscaloosa, Ala., with the Rev. Brannon Pinion officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jack and Sharon Montgomery of Northport, Ala., William and Donna Davis, and Bobby and Carol Workman, all of Meridian.
The bride is the granddaughter of Maudie Prewitt and the late Frank Prewitt, and the late William Cleveland and Annie Lee Montgomery, all of Northport.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Richard and Hilda Faye Davis, Bill and Gerry Workman and Catherine Davis, all of Meridian, and Donald and Mary Jo Berges of Manhattan, Kan. He is the great-grandson of Julia Reynolds and the late J.W. Reynolds, and the late Byron and Lois Davis.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a two-piece white satin gown that featured a corset back closure and a full skirt that swept into a chapel-length train. The gown featured embroidery, cording, crystals, bugle beads and seed pearls.
Heather Annable of Tuscaloosa, Ala., served as matron of honor. LeAnn Workman of Meridian, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor.
Other attendants were Tina Ciranni of Woodstock, Ga., cousin of the bride, Stephanie Bronson, of Northport, Ala., cousin of the bride, Stephanie Mansfield of Richmond, Va., and Michelle Ray of Northport.
Flower girl was Anna Coats of Northport.
The father of the bridegroom was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were William Davis, step-father of the bridegroom, Matthew Davis, of Meridian, cousin of the bridegroom, Carney Dearing of Meridian, Erik Shirley of Livingston, Ala., Chad Stephens of Northport and Trent Workman of Meridian, brother of the bridegroom.
Ring bearer was Robert Coats of Northport, cousin of the bride.
Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Northport.
