Burke's now open

The City of Russellville will welcome its newest retailer Friday.
Burke's Outlet opened its newest store along Highway 43 Sept. 30 in the former Wal-mart, but will hold its official grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting Oct. 13 at 9 a.m.
Bill Webster, Director of Burke's sales promotion, said the store has seen plenty of local shoppers thanks to word of mouth but was looking forward to having the store's official opening.
In its first week of business, the Russellville Burke's store ranked fourth out of more than 400 stores company-wide in retail sales.
Drawings for a $100 Shopping Spree will be part of the weekend-long celebration.
The new outlet is 12,500 square feet in size and employs six sales associates and supervisors, plus a store manager.
Burkes Outlet s has a wide presentation of clothing for the whole family with men's, women's, plus size, juniors, kids and infants apparel as well as shoes, accessories, home d/cor items and gifts.
Merchandise assortments consist of brand name manufacturer's closeouts, private label import and domestic buys and off price lines.
Burkes Outlet prices its merchandise up to 70-percentoff department stores prices with an every day low price philosophy.
