Bonnie P. Davis, age 78, of Vina, passed away Friday, November 3, 2006, at Care Center of Red Bay.
Mrs. Davis was born September 24, 1928, in Franklin County to Joe and Clementine Scott Pharr. She was a homemaker and a member of Atwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Theoter Davis; her parents; a brother, Milford Pharr; and a sister, Linda McCarley.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Nathan Davidson, Bro. Loyd Griffus and Bro. Coye Marbutt officiating. Interment was in Holly Springs Cemetery in Hodges.
Pallbearers were Kenny McHenry, James Pharr, Greg Stidham, David George, Gary Emerson and Jessie McCarley.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one son, James H. Davis and wife Brenda, of Hodges; one daughter, Janet Davis Gober and husband Glyne Gober, of Hodges; three brothers, Alvin Pharr and Billy Joe Pharr, both of Vina, and Justin Pharr of Hamilton; two sisters, Delila Emerson and Wilbie Turbyfill, both of Vina; five granddaughters, Melissa McHenry and husband Kenny, Robin Pharr and husband James, Dana Stidham and husband Greg, Lorie Parker, and Briana George and husband David; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Julia Clark Davis

Julia Clark Davis, age 74, of Red Bay, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Davis was born September 8, 1932, in Belmont, MS, to J.U. and Emma Denley Clark. She worked for Blue Bell as a purchasing agent for 32 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Red Bay. She enjoyed golf, working in her yard, gardening, all sports, and spending time with her family. She played on the 1948 state championship basketball team for Belmont High School. She was on the All-State College Basketball Team at Northeast MS Community College in Booneville, MS, in 1951, which was the first year the college had won the State College Tournament. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and seven sisters; and a son-in-law, Jack M. "Jackie" Senter, Jr.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dallas Culver and Dr. Dwayne McDuff officiating. Interment was in Belmont City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dr. Steve Senter, Robert Clark, David Clark, John Mann, Mike Clark, Jeff Clark, Hal Keeton and David Markham.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 55 years, Nathan "Ned" Davis; three daughters, Judith Hester and Dawn James and husband Troy, both of Red Bay, and Teresa Senter of Belmont; three grandchildren, Kristi Senter and husband Kevin, of Iuka, MS, Eddie Peden and wife Jessica, of Red Bay, and Anna Senter of Belmont; four great-grandchildren, Kylie Brooke Peden of Red Bay, Katelin Lane Senter and Klarke Davis Senter, both of Iuka, and Emma Grace Scott of Belmont; and one sister, Jeanette Clark Mann of Iuka.

Jean M. Holt

Jean M. Holt, age 79, of Red Bay, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006, at ECM Hospital.
Mrs. Holt was born May 18, 1927, in Franklin County to Floyd and Tompsie James Massey. She was an employee of Blue Bell for more than 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis A. Holt; and her parents.
Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Alec Page officiating. Interment followed.
Pallbearers were Jim White, Anthony Page, Tony Turbyfill, Don Thorn, Don Berry and Drew Davis.
Mrs. Holt is survived by four children, Andrea Montgomery and husband Charles, Tim Holt, and John Holt, all of Red Bay, and Bea Holt of Birmingham; and one grandchild, Angela Riddle and husband Kevin, of Red Bay.

Lorene James

Lorene James, age 85, of Russellville, passed away Monday, October 30, 2006.
Mrs. James attended school at Rockwood Jr. High School. She was a devoted Christian lady who really loved the Lord and was a great "Prayer Warrior." She was known as one of the best cooks in the county. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman O. James; her parents, Bill and Ruby Lane Willis; her twin sister and five brothers; and a granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2006, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tommy James and Bro. O'dell Kimbrough officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Timmy James, Jeffery James, Chris James, Charlton James, Tyler James, Michael Hill, Steven Green and Bo South. Honorary bearers were Will Stults, Catlin Stults, Kelby James and Caleb Thompson.
Mrs. James is survived by a wonderful family and a host of friends, including her children, Howard James and wife Brenda, of Russellville, Charles James and wife Phil, of Spruce Pine, Tommy James and wife Ruthie, of Tuscumbia, Ruth Kimbrough and husband O'dell, of Russellville, Johnny James and wife Ruby, of Spruce Pine, Carl James and wife Judy, of Phil Campbell, and Bobby James and wife Jan, of Spruce Pine; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several step-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special neighbors, the Bo South family.
John Lee Lane

John Lee Lane, age 74, of Russellville, passed away Monday, November 6, 2006.
Mr. Lane was a Christian. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Lane and Mary Ethel Robinson Lane; and a brother, Donald Lane.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Prince officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the Newburg Community.
Pallbearers were Charles Clem, Jr., Gregory Clem, Todd Clem, J.D. Byars, Terry Lane and Don Lane.
Mr. Lane is survived by his children, David, Darlene, John Lee III, Patrick and Nicholaus; two brothers, Jimmy Lane and Wayne Spruell Lane; two sisters, Joyce Daly and Martha Clem; six grandchildren; and seventeen nieces and nephews.

Katie Sparks Tiffin

Katie Sparks Tiffin, age 88, of Red Bay, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006, at Red Bay Hospital.
Mrs. Tiffin was born December 23, 1917, in Franklinn County to Robert and Olga Mae Rickard Sparks. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Tiffin; her parents; and a brother, Mitchell Sparks.
Graveside funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at Red Bay City Cemetery with Bro. Charles Maples officiating. Interment followed.
Pallbearers were Lex Tiffin, Van Tiffin, Jason Tiffin, Tony Horton, Richard Hammock and Anthony Horton.
Mrs. Tiffin is survived by two sons, Robert Alexander Tiffin, Jr. and wife Judy, of Florence, and David Sparks Tiffin and wife Peggy, of Red Bay; one daughter, Beulah Tiffin Tooley and husband Bruce, of Red Bay; one sister, Marjorie Smith of Amarillo, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Tim Tiffin and wife Lynne, of Tuscumbia, Van Tiffin and wife Michelle, of Florence, Lex Tiffin and wife Deneisha, of Russellville, Lynette Horton and husband Tony, of Red Bay, Beth Hammock and husband Richard, of Red Bay, Katie-Jean Tooley, Sarah Tooley, Miriam Tooley and Mary Tooley, all of Red Bay, Jason Tiffin and wife Jennifer, of Alabaster, and Eli Tooley and wife Misti, of Belmont, MS; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
