Red Bay Police Chief Pat Creel attended a campaign celebration held at Montgomery's Embassy Suites Tuesday night.
The celebration turned to a victory party after it was announced that Troy King was re-elected as Attorney General, Creel said.
"We went to celebrate his campaign and it turned into a victory party," Creel said.
Approximately 100 people filled a conference room including a founding member of VOCAL, a group for victim's rights, and Sandra Johnson with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, Creel said.
"There was a lot of people there that I knew and a lot I did not know," Creel said.
Creel holds the vice president position for the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police. He attended the celebration in that official capacity, Creel said.
