The Russellville Fire Department responded to two structure fires in the last five days, each resulting in significant damage to the home.
Fire fighters responded to a home on UNA Loop to find a couch on fire at 3:44 Monday afternoon.
An electric blanket rolled up in a hideaway bed caught fire.
"Any time you roll or fold anything like that up, it increases the amount of heat it puts out," Russellville Fire Marshal Bobby Malone said.
At 12:42 yesterday morning, RFD responded to a fire at 1844 Highway 60.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation but Malone said the blaze appears to have started near the heating unit.
There was extensive damage to the living room and smoke damage was spread throughout the house, Malone added.
