Belgreen announces Mr. and Miss BHS at annual banquet

Belgreen High School held its annual Mr. and Miss BHS Banquet on Saturday, December 9, in the presentation hall at the school.
The banquet was held to honor the top three male and top three female seniors, who were nominated by the faculty. A meal was provided for the students, their family members, and members of the faculty.
After the meal, a power point presentation was made utilizing pictures of each of the students from childhood through their current year. Belgreen principal Eddie Britton then announced the winners as selected by the high school student body from the faculty nominations.
The Mr. and Miss BHS winners for 2006-07 are Grant Tarascou, son of Susan and John Tarascou, and Holly Nichols, daughter of Sondra and Mike Nichols.
The runners-up include Mary Billingham, daughter of Karen and Frank Billingham; Marty Britton, son of Judy and Jimmy Britton; Anna Pierce, daughter of Tammie and Steve Pierce; and Nicholas Blevins, son of Karen and Noel Blevins.
The presentation of the winner of the DAR Good Citizenship Award was also made. The winner of this prestigious award for 2006-07 is Nicholas Blevins. He was selected for this honor by the faculty of Belgreen High School based on his leadership in school, church and the community.
