A Russellville woman has been sentenced to do time at the Texas Department of Corrects while her husband is being extradited back to Alabama to face charges in Russellville.
Charlotte Thompson will not be able to return to the state to face fraud and forgery charges until she serves an eight-month sentence handed down Thursday afternoon in a Harris County, Texas Courtroom, Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said.
Thompson pleaded guilty to forgery charges in Texas. Once she is released from the Texas Department of Corrections, Thompson will be returned to Russellville to face charges of credit card fraud and forgery, Hargett said.
Arrangements are being made to bring Daniel Wayne Thompson back to Russellville to face credit card fraud and forgery charges, Hargett said.
The couple was arrested Tuesday in Harris County, Texas near Sugarland. Russellville police have been searching for the duo since mid-December after they allegedly used credit cards and cashed checks taken from a local business.
Hargett said that they located stolen jewelry taken in November in another case, and more charges are pending in Franklin County. The couple is also wanted in Muscle Shoals.
