Kathryn Frances Canida, age 77, of Haleyville, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2007, at Huntsville Hospital.
She attended the First Baptist Church, Haleyville, and was the former owner of C.M. Office Supply in Haleyville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Myrtle McNamara; a sister, Shirley Brobst; and two grandchildren, Jamie Carter and Katie Carter.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Pinkard Funeral Home with Gary Smith officiating. Interment was in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Canida is survived by three children, Diane York and husband Charles, of Haleyville, Doug Canida and wife Debbie, of Huntsville, and Kathy Lawrence of Birmingham; a sister, Betty McNamara of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Bob McNamara of Oceanside, CA, and Jim McNamara of Oregon; six grandchildren, Sean Lawrence, Chaise Lawrence, Wendy Colmus, Carrie Harmes, David Canida and Abigail Canida; and three great-grandchildren, Tristan Carter, Madelyn Carter and Chloe Harmes.
James A. Hargett

James Andrew Hargett, age 85, of Russellville, passed away Friday, February 2, 2007.
Mr. Hargett was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a former Franklin County Commissioner, a Mason, a retired school bus driver, and had worked at Western Auto for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ola Brown Hargett; two brothers, Arley Hargett and Gorman Hargett; and three sisters, Lora Dyer, Clura Smith and Juanita Hargett.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 4, at Mountain Home Presbyterian Church in Belgreen with Bro. Andy Cansler officiating. Interment was in Mountain Home Cemetery.
Mr. Hargett is survived by his wife, Naomi Freeman Hargett; four sons, Dwight Hargett and wife Joan, Steve Hargett and wife Kaye, Randy Hargett and wife Rita, and Ricky Hargett; five grandchildren, Brent Hargett, Kelli Hargett, Christopher Hargett, Bethany Hargett, and Tyler Hargett, his special buddy; and several nieces and nephews.
Papa, we hope to see you someday and walk those streets of gold with you.
Raymond H. Fuller

Raymond H. "Nunk" Fuller, age 78, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Fuller was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was known for his love of gospel and country music, both as a singer and a musician. He was loved by a host of nieces and nephews. He was known to all as "Nunk." He always loved being visited by the young children and had something special for them. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Fuller; and five brothers, Robert, Walston, Verdo, Willie and Charlie Fuller.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2007, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Smith officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Mike Reid, Donald Wray, Ronnie Wray, Paul Wray, Kenneth Johnson and Bruce James.
Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Josephine Wray Fuller; brother and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Dorothy Reid and husband Mike for all their help during Raymond's illness. Raymond assumed role of caregiver for his brother-in-law, Johnny Wray. He cared for Johnny as he was his own for more than 20 years.

Billy DeWayne "Chopper" McCormick, age 62, of Albertville, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007.
Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Tillman and Jettie Mae McCormick; and a son, Steve McCormick.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Tisdale-Lann Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walley Cason officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Nettleton, MS.
Pallbearers will be Gwin Berryhill, David Berryhill, Glenn Hill, Randy Hill, Wade Holley and John Whitlock, Jr.
Mr. McCormick is survived by his wife, Joanne Wadsworth McCormick; five sons, Brad McCormick of Mississippi, Chris McCormick and wife Donna, of Albertville, Kevin McCormick and wife Shelley, of Arkansas, and Jeff McCormick and Shane McCormick, both of Russellville; three step-daughters, Mary Ann Thomas and husband George, of Addison, Joyce Allen and husband Shawn, of South, and Pauline Torres and husband Jose, of California; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Whitlock and husband John, of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
