Russellville's Fifth Grade Honor Chorus is scheduled to perform during tomorrow night's Showdown concert at the Roxy Theater.
"We will perform at 6:45 for about 15 minutes, and have been invited to perform the finale with Showdown," Emily Honey, choir director, said.
The choir is a 50-member audition-only choir that performs at the public's request for various events. The choir also holds a spring concert each year, Honey said.
"We performed at the Prayer for Peace hosted by the garden club, and the whole fifth grade performed at a Veteran's Day program at Russellville Elementary in November," Honey said.
The group will be performing about five songs tomorrow night prior to Showdown taking the stage, and will participate in the finale with the group as well.
"We will be performing two songs from our Veteran's Day program and a couple from our upcoming spring concert," Honey said.
The chorus practices for thirty minutes two days a week during school hours. The participants in the chorus must have an A/B average and maintain it in order to participate, Honey said.
