Two men arrested for recent burglaries

Two Mount Hope men were arrested Thursday afternoon and charged in connection with a string of burglaries in Franklin and Lawrence Counties.
Jerry Lynn Bryant, 20, 880 County Road 49, Mount Hope, was charged with three counts of burglary third, one count criminal trespassing two counts of attempted theft of property third, theft of property second, and theft of property first, Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said.
Matthew Nolan of Mount Hope was charged with three counts of burglary third, theft of property second, theft of property third, and attempted theft of property third, Plott said. "Lawrence County Sheriff's Department assisted us with this investigation," Plott said. "Both men are in the Lawrence County Jail awaiting bond."
Bryant and Nolan are accused of being connected with a string of burglaries at chicken houses, junkyards, and abandoned houses near Franklin and Lawrence County line, Plott said.
Items that were taken from the sites include car parts, copper tubing, electric equipment like chainsaws, and a wrecker.
The wrecker was recovered in Lawrence County, Plott said.
