Kathleen Marie Clark, age 64, of Spruce Pine, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Clark was a native of Illinois but had lived in Franklin County for the past eight years. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Graveside funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007, at Rice Cemetery in Hightop, TN, with Steven Howard officiating.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Raymond Clark; her step-children, Darlene Wilksons of Addison, IL, Jimmy Clark of Muscle Shoals, Janet Fuller of Russellville, Ricky Clark of Chicago, IL, Kim Howard of Russellville, Jeff Clark of Schaumberg, IL, and Dawn Warner of Russellville; a brother, William Gilgore of Illinois; three sisters, Roberta Krueger, Maureen Hewitt and Myrna Gilgore, all of Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim Smylie Wakefield

Jim Smylie Wakefield, age 75, of Russellville, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007, at Russellville Health Care.
Mr. Wakefield was a native of Franklin County but had lived in Georgia before returning to Russellville. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Russellville. He graduated from Russellville High School in 1950, where he played football. He was an outstanding athlete who played semi-pro baseball with the Russellville Travelers. He also attended and played football at Swanee, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Social Fraternity and later played football at UNA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 and was retired from the banking and finance business. Jim was a man of few words and a very special person. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his father, A.L. Wakefield, and his mother, Edith Smylie Wakefield; two brothers, Audley L. Wakefield and Charles W. Wakefield; and a cousin, George Wakefield.
Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville with Richard Parker officiating.
Mr. Wakefield is survived by his cousins, Sue Frances Byars and husband Jimmy, Suzanne Langcuster and husband Cecil, Jane Foreman and husband Charles, Dianne Pace and husband Barry, and Mary Emma Wakefield, all of Russellville.

James T. Wilson

James T. Wilson, age 70, of Golden, MS, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mr. Wilson was born January 5, 1937, in Itawamba County, MS, to John T. and Audrey Spradling Wilson. He was retired from Mueller Brass Co. in Fulton, MS after 35 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended Providence Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Quay Wilson; and his parents.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Bobby Massey and Bro. Donnie Wooten officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eric Brose, Jared Sides, Michael Morrison, Jr., Sidney Ivey, Billy Stanphill and Jimmy Sides. Honorary bearers were Danny Mitchell and Stevie Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jimmie Jerldeen Wilson; one son, James Richard Wilson of Tremont, MS; three daughters, Teresa R. Sides and husband Jimmy and Jamie Wilson and husband Sidney Ivey, both of Golden, MS, and Rhonda L. Wilson of Tremont, MS; two granddaughters, Christy Wilson of Golden, MS, and Chassidy Brose and husband Eric, of Iuka, MS; three grandsons, Michael Morrison, Jr. and fianc/e Misty Bonds and Jared Sides, both of Golden, MS, and Johnathan Wilson of Tremont; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Laveryn Nanney and husband Boyce, of Saltillo; three brothers, Gerl Wilson and wife Kay, Riley "Slim" Wilson and wife Sandy, and William "Bull" Wilson and wife Vikki, all of Guntown, MS; and many other friends and relatives.
