Doria Beatrice Haney

Doria Beatrice Haney, age 91, of Red Bay, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, at Red Bay Hospital.
Mrs. Haney was born June 19, 1915 in Tishomingo County, MS to L.A. and May Bell Lindsey Thornburg. She was a factory worker. She was a member of Community Center Baptist Church and worked at Red Bay and Vina schools as a foster grandparent for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Haney; a daughter, Wanda Charlotte Haney; a granddaughter, Tina Susan Kuykendall; a great-grandson, Brandon Craig Guess; her parents; her step-mother, Beatrice Thornburg; two sisters, Vergie Rhodes and Mattie Ethel Arnold; three brothers, Benjamin Thornburg, William Thornburg and Odell Thornburg; a step-sister, Ura May Jowers; and a son-in-law, T.C. Robinson.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Jerry George, Bro. Matthew Haney and Bro. Jeremy Harris officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Tim Lindley, Mike Haney, Rodney Kuykendall, Alan Lindley, Donald Kuykendall, Matthew Haney, Benny Kuykendall, Glendon Ashley and Jonathan Haney.
Mrs. Haney is survived by her children, Dollie Robinson, Shirley Lindley and husband David, Sue Kuykendall, and Wilma Ashley and husband Johnny, all of Red Bay, and Donnie R. Haney and wife Betty, of Dennis, MS; two sisters, Lucille Brumley of Iuka, MS and Lois Smith of Tishomingo, MS; one step-brother, Marvin Jowers of Tishomingo, MS; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jewel Inman Ledbetter

Jewel Inman Ledbetter, age 91, of Red Bay, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, at Russellville Healthcare.
Mrs. Ledbetter was born March 4, 1916, in Franklin County to Thomas and Flora Powers Inman.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. Ledbetter; a son, Bobby Ledbetter; a grandson, Roger Scott; her parents; and one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Steve Ledbetter, Mike Ledbetter, DeShun Miller, Ernie Ledbetter, Allen Scott and Dewayne Palmer. Bradley Scott, her great-grandson, was an honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by five children, Betty Scott and husband Charles, of Huntsville, Roland Ledbetter and wife Hilda, of Red Bay, Douglas Ledbetter and wife Bettye, of Birmingham, Earnest Ledbetter and wife Cathy, of Brandon, MS, and Linda Miller of Hamilton; three sisters, Faye Barnhill of Lexington, KY, Madge Logan of Memphis, TN, and Audrey Strickland of Belmont, MS; a sister-in-law, Della Inman; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
