Traffic stop turns up drugs in Red Bay

RED BAY – A Red Bay man was arrested on drug possession charges late Monday night during a routine traffic stop.
Christopher Adam Grimes, 21, of 2nd Ave. NE in Red Bay was taken into custody around 11 p.m. after a Red Bay police officer found prescription medication and drug paraphernalia in his possession, Police Chief Pat Creel said.
"Xanax, syringes, and a pipe were found in the vehicle," Creel said.
Grimes is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and is in the Franklin County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
