A Russellville man remains the Franklin County Jail after his arrest over the weekend on burglary charges.
Christopher Lollar, 32, of 36 Jail Ave. in Russellville, was taken into custody early Saturday morning in connection with a break-in that occurred at a residence located on Highway 75 in Phil Campbell Thursday night, Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said.
The suspect left something behind, which aided police in the investigation.
"Mr. Lollar dropped his wallet inside the victim's residence," Plott said.
Plott said that items taken from the residence include prescription medication.
Lollar was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Burglary third is a Class C felony, which is punishable with one year and one day to 10 years in prison upon conviction, according to the Alabama Criminal Code.
Lollar remains in the Franklin County Jail pending bond.
