James Patrick Bishop, 64, formerly of Russellville, passed away June 16 at his residence in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Jim was employed in Washington, D.C. for the past 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guy F. Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Ann; son, Bruce; daughter, Susan Stoddard; granddaughter, Olivia Bishop; mother, Dolly Kirkpatrick Bishop; brothers Tommy, William and Frank; sisters Janet Torstenson, Vicky Nixon, and Angie Kimbrough; and 14 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday in Fredericksburg, Viriginia.

Eunice Rice Hagood, 87, of Phil Campbell, died Saturday, June 16, 2007. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Phil Campbell.
The funeral was Monday, June 18, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville. Alvin Burbank officiated. Interment followed at Phil Campbell Cemetery.
Barry Kilgoar, Danny Brooks, Jimmy Rice, Mark Relf, Jesse Lawler, and Alton Rice served as pall bearers.
She was survived by a son, Denny Hagood and wife, Tammy, of Phil Campbell; a granddaughter, Denay Hagood; two sisters, Mary Kilgoar and Freida Eubanks, both of Phil Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Hagood.

Dr. Robert Lowell Stewart, Jr.

Dr. Robert Lowell Stewart, Jr., age 50, of Haleyville, passed away Monday, June 11, 2007.
A graveside service was held Thursday, June 14, 2007 at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma. Dr. T.B. Stringfellow officiated.
Dr. Stewart was a 1974 graduate of Jeff Davis High School, a 1978 graduate of Auburn University, and a 1982 graduate of U.A.B. Dental School. He was the owner of Robert L. Stewart Dentistry, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Haleyville.
He is survived by his wife, Fran Rockwell Stewart of Haleyville; a son, Robert Lowell Stewart, III of Haleyville; his mother, Inez W. Stewart of Birmingham; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lowell Stewart, Sr.

James Ronald Goodwin, 54, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, June 16,2007.
Funeral services were Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Bro. Mark Kimbrell officiated. Interment followed at Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Goodwin; a son, Scottie Watkins of Haleyville; a daughter, Tracy Crouch of Russellville; a sister, Charlotte Harbin of Haleyville; and four grandchildren, Lauren, Allison, Hunter, and Brayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Oredith Goodwin.

David Lionel Credille, 52, of Red Bay, died June 12, 2007.
He was born January 27, 1955, in Mississippi to Ernest and Margaret Wooten Credille.
He was a stone mason for 20 years, a Baptist and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were private.
He is survived by one daughter, Angie Stidham and husband, Billy, of Vina; one grandson, Nathaniel Stidham, of Vina; three brothers, Earl Credille of Fairview, Mississippi, Randall Credille of Belmont, Mississippi; and Larry Credille of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and one sister, Charlene Dischman of Belmont.
Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.

Opal M. George, 88, of Red Bay, died June 16, 2007.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 18, 2007, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay. Bro. Billy Nichols and Bro. A.G. Stepp officiated. Interment followed in Halltown Cemetery.
She was born January 17, 1919 in Red Bay to Edward Lee and Gertrude Nelson Pounders.
She was a factory worker and a homemaker.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Albert M. George; her parents; one son, Billy George; a granddaughter, Susan Cole; and a great granddaughter, Lacey Strickland.
He is survived by two sons, Joe George and wife Sherry of Red Bay, and Junior George and wife Requina of Russellville; one daughter, Janice Strickland of Russellville; six grandchildren, Karen Cook, Amanda Davis, Kevin George, Darrell Strickland, David Strickland and Valerie Strickland; and 12 great grandchildren.
