Tharptown holds youth registration
The Tharptown youth football and cheerleading leagues will hold registration July 21 and July 28 from 8 a.m. to noon in the high school gymnasium.
League registration is $50 per child, and a discount is available for more than one child. Please bring the child's birth certificate to the registration.

Booster Club seeks members
The Russellville Football Booster Club is encouraging all Golden Tiger fans and supporters to join.
An annual donation of $10 (per individual, family or business) to the club will allow you to have your name printed in the 2007 Football Media Guide to be sold at each RHS home game.

Parks and rec opens fall league registration
The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring youth baseball, youth soccer and adult softball this fall.

Fall Baseball League
Fall baseball is for ages 6-8 years old. The fee is $35 per player, or $60 for two players.
Registration is Saturday, July 28 and Saturday, August 18.
Youth Soccer League
The registration deadline is Wednesday, August 1. Late registration is August 20-25, with a $5 late registration fee. The league is for kids ages 6-18, and the age control date is August 2. There is a $35 fee per child, $60 for two children. The jamboree game is Saturday, September 8, and league games start Monday, September 10.
Adult Softball Leagues
Players must be 18 years or older, and there is a 20-player maximum per team. The registration deadline is Saturday, August 25.
The team fee is $200 for a Mens' League team and $200 for a Co-Ed League team.
Every team is required to play a $15 umpire fee to be paid before each game.
The season for both leagues starts Thursday, September 6.
Founders Fest sponsors 5K run, 1-mile walk
RED BAY – The annual Red Bay Founders Fest 5K run and 1-mile walk/run is Saturday, Sept. 15.
The 5K runs begins at 9 a.m. and the 1-mile starts at 9:45 a.m.
The race is sponsored by Red Bay Wellcare, and the top three finishers in each division will receive an award.
