Mary Catherine Barron, 18, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007.
Mary was a native of San Diego, California but had lived in Franklin County for the past 10 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was active in the youth programs and attended a mission trip this summer in Virginia. She was a graduate of Russellville High School, class of 2007.
She was in the Miss RHS Pageant, Chorus Jazz Band, Christian Students United (Secretary), FBLA, Drum Major, 2006-2007, Show Choir and was in the National Honor Society.
She had received numerous scholarships and was to start at Northwest Junior College later this month. She was employed by McDonald's where she had worked for several years.
Funeral services will be held today, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Wade Wallace, Joe Lenox, Neal Rogers and George Crummie. Music will be by the RHS Band. Burial will follow in the Franklin Memory Gardens.
Survivors include father, Micheal Barron of San Diego; grandparents, Albin and Judy Ory of Russellville; William Barron, of San Diego; sisters, Kayla Mundt, of Russellville, Tiffany Ory, of Russellville; step-sister, Tanya Opichka, of San Diego; other survivors include, Anna Langley, Chuck Langley, Matthew Langley, SFC. Anthony Langley; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Ory and grandmother, Mary Barron.
