Randy Carl Parrish, age 52, of Golden, Miss. died Aug. 3, 2007 in Colorado. He as born January 16, 1055 in Russellville to Lesley Elbert and Joyce Dalian Parrish. He was a mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Army. His father and a sister, Vicki Presley, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Aug. 11, 2007 at the Red Bay Holy Church of Christ with Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Parrish, of Golden, Miss.; sons, Matthew Patterson of Red Bay, Brad Parrish and Randy Kyle Parrish, both of Golden, and Scott Parrish, and wife, Chastity, of Town Creek; one daughter, Lori Thornton and husband, James, of Russellville; mother, Joyce Besnah, of Zion, Ill.; sister, Linda Copen and husband, James, of Zion, Ill.; brothers, Robbie Besnah of Kenosha, Wis. , B.J. Spears of Red Bay, and Shelby Morris of Dennis, Miss.; grandmother, Grace Hughes of Spruce Pine; a host of nephews, nieces, great-nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Timothy Chaney and Shyanne Chaney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Myrtle Vinson; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
Pallbearers for the service included Marshall Simmons, Daniel Lindley, Brad Parrish, Matthew Patterson, Michael Gilmore and B. J. Spears.

Wilton Richard Donaldson

Wilton Richard Donaldson, age 82, of Haleyville, passed away Aug. 9, 2007. He was a Primitive Baptist, and served in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman with the 120th Infantry, 30th Division during WWII, wounded twice, received the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman Badge, European Theater of Operations Medal with three Battle Stars, WWI Victory Medal and Silver Star. He was a Mason, Shriner, and a member of the American Legion.
Funeral services were held Aug. 11, 2007 at the Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Arthur Rayburn, Roger Donaldson, Mike Price, and Mickey Price officiating. Burial was in the Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by son, Roger Dale Donaldson and wife, Lylah; daughters, Patricia Gayle Price, and husband, Mickey, and Kathy Sartin; brother, Ray Donald Donaldson; sisters, Barbra Hendrix and Delene Bradford; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Ivalene Donaldson.

Tommy Ray Mansell, Sr.
Aug. 12, 2007
Tommy Ray Mansell, Sr., age 62, of Spruce Pine, died Aug. 12, 2007 at Huntsville Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and employed by Alabama Stone Company.
Funeral services were held Aug. 14, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville with Michael Cummings and Greg Rickey officiating. Burial was in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Joyce Pierce Mansell of Russellville; children, Lisa Green and husband, Jerome, Stephanie Briles and husband, Chris, Daphanie Fretwell and husband, Joey, all of Russellville, and Cory Mansell and wife, Shannon, of Tony, Ala.; daugher-in-law, Gloria Mansell of Russellville; sisters, Bernice Wilkins and husband, Wayne, of Memphis, Tenn., Barbara Pace, Joyce Nell Boyles, and Martha Allen, all of Russellville; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and friends.
Pallbearers for the service included Ricky Mansell, Randy Pace, Ken Boyles, Kirk Boyles, Tyrus Mansell, and John James.
He was preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Nellie Mae Mansell; brothers, Louis Mansell, Raymond Mansell, Billy Mansell, and Bobby Joe Mansell; sister, Bea Norton; daughter-in-law, Natalie Mansell, and the most recent death his oldest son, Tommy Ray Mansell, Jr.

Gurney Ray Meares

Gurney Ray Meares, age 49, of Russellville, died Aug. 13, 2007 of natural causes.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home in Russellville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Pearl Shelton officiating. Burial will be in the King Cemetery in Town Creek.
He is survived by wife, Cynthia Meares of Russellville; sisters, Joyce George of Russellville; brothers, R.V. Meares and wife, Louise, of Courtland, Ala., Billy Meares of Tuscumbia; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

William (Bill) Bouldin
Aug. 14, 2007
William (Bill) Bouldin, age 69, of Florence, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007 at ECM Hospital. He was a native of Florence but lived in Russellville for the past 43 years. He was a member of Russellville First United Methodist Church, and practiced law in Russellville for the past 43 years with the law firm, Guinn, Bouldin &Alexander. He served in the Alabama Air National Guard for four years.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Clint Busler officiating. Burial will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Russellville.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by one brother, Richard Bouldin of Athens, Ga.; one niece, one nephew and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Jo Bouldin and sister, Ann Bouldin.
Members of the Franklin County Bar Association will serve as honorary pallbearers for the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Bill Bouldin to PAWS, 2701 Mall Road, PMB 277, Florence, AL 3563. Funeral Home assisted the family.
