One arrested after break-in

A Russellville man was arrested early Sunday morning after being caught burglarizing a local store.
Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said that deputies responded to an alarm call at a convinence store located on Highway 43 North around 3 a.m. Sunday and found Christopher Shane Harper, 25, of 4016 Highway 56 in Russellville, still inside the store.
"Mr. Harper was arrested on the scene without incident," Plott said.
Plott added that Harper has been charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree attempted theft of property, third-degree criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and public intoxication.
According to the Alabama Criminal Code, third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief are both Class C felonies, which are punishable with one year and one day to 10 years in prison upon conviction.
Harper remains in the Franklin County Jail pending a $6,500 bond.
