Locals participate in Riverbottom Burnout race
FLORENCE – Four Franklin County runners participated in the 1-Mile Riverbottom Burnout at McFarland Park last Saturday.
Red Bay's Tiffany McWilliams, 25, placed first in a field of 116 male and female runners with a time of 4:41.78, which broke he own state record.
Russellville's Adam Collum, 36, placed No. 15 with a time of 5:36.79, while Tanya Collum, 33, finished in 6:35.90 (51st). Turner Collum, 7, clocked in at 8:12.10 (91st).

Brush Creek Pumpkin Run

Biddy Body b-ball

The Russellville Parks and Recreation department is holding registration for Biddy Body basketball until Saturday, October 27. Biddy Body is a program designed to provide fun for players in a non-threatening environment. Late registration is from October 29-November 3, with a a $5 late fee. The program is for ages 4-5 years old, and the age control date is September 1, 2007. Cost is $35 per player, or $60 for two players. For more information, contact the department at 332-8770.
