Billy H. Trapp, 65, of Russellville died Thursday, Nov. 1 at his home.
Mr. Trapp was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of the Church of Christ. He was owner and operator of T.C. Tires and Wrecker Service.
Funeral services were held Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Joe Lenox officiating. Burial followed in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Trapp, of Russellville; children, William Trapp and wife, Tonya, Loretta Hatton and husband, Dennis, of Russellville, Adam Trapp, of Russellville, Patricia Brewer and husband, Norman, of Moulton, Heath Trapp, of Russellville, Cindy Godwin, of Courtland, Wanda Rutherford and her husband, Derrick, of Town Creek; sisters, Wavolene Rye and husband, Tony, of Hamilton, Marie Krieg and husband, Gordon, of Killen, Sandy Gilroy and husband, Perry, of Tennessee; brothers, Howard Trapp, of Phil Campbell and Harry Trapp and wife, Linda, of Russellville; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Andrew and Dorothy Dean Trapp and brother, Jerry Wayne Trapp.
James Verdo Warhurst

James Verdo Warhurst, 73, of Phil Campbell, passed away at Physicians Medical Center in Birmingham.
He lived all his life in Phil Campbell and was a farmer.
Services were held Oct. 30 at Union Hill First Congregational Methodist Church with Coy Morgan and Curtis Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Warhurst; son, Skipper Warhurst; daughters, Tina Warhurst Morgan and her husband, Dalton, Lisa Warhurst Wynn and husband, Darrell, all of Phil Campbell; grandchildren, Josh Warhurst and wife, April, Justin Warhurst and wife, Erica, all of Phil Campbell, Mindy Wynn Pierce and husband, Ben, of Huntsville, Tabatha Morgan Champion and husband, Brad, of Russellville, Daniel Wynn and wife, Meagan, Chasity Morgan, Courtney Wynn, of Phil Campbell; great-grandchildren, Abby Pierce, of Huntsville, Hannah Warhurst, Josie Warhurst, Jesse Warhurst, all of Phil Campbell; sister-in-law, Cora Warhurst, of Phil Campbell and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Josh Warhurst, Justin Warhurst, Daniel Wynn, Bead Champion, Ben Pierce and Ricky Phifer.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ben Warhurst, John Warhurst, jack Warhurst; sisters, Bessie Warhurst, Lorene Warhurst Phifer, Gladys Warhurst Robbins and daughter-in-law, Sherry Warhurst.
Lassye T. Smith

Lassye T. Smith, 102, of Columbia, Tenn., formerly of Franklin County, passed away Oct. 30.
Graveside services were held Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at Knights of Pythias in Russellville.
She is survived by son, Jimmy B. "Jim" Smith and wife, Peggy Willis Smith, of Columbia; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Smith; son, Curt Smith and grandson, Curtis Lee Smith.
Willard Theo Lane

Willard Theo Lane, 85, of Muscle Shoals, formerly of Russellville, passed away Nov. 2 at Shoals Hospital. He was a native of Franklin County. He was a retired steamfitter from Reynolds Metals Company in Sheffield and a long-time member of the local plumbing and pipe fitting union.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, having served in the US Army during World War II. He was among the first troops to occupy Japan at the end of the war. He was among the first troops to occupy Japan at the end of the war. He was a recipient of a Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement in ground combat against the enemy in the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations and was honorable discharged in January 1946 with the rank of Sergeant.
Survivors include his wife Marjorie Lane, of Muscle Shoals; son, Larry D. Lane and wife, Cheryl Lane of Kirtland, Ohio; daughter, Deborah Lane Crowe and husband, Tony Crowe, of Norcross, Geo.; brother, Robert Lane of Del Rio, Texas; sister, Mable Hamilton, of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Eric Crowe and wife, Enslen, of Birmingham, Brent Lane of Kirtland, Ohio, Jason Crowe, of Norcross, Geo., Mitchell Lane and wife, Michele, of Concord, Ohio, and Amanda Crowe, of Atlanta.
Visitation will be held at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4 and funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5.
Burial will follow in Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville. Officiating will be Bobby Amos.
Steven D. Pennington

Steven DeWayne Pennington, 48, of Russellville, passed away Nov. 2 at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Pennington lived all his life in Franklin County and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Raymond Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Pennington; children, Stephanie James, Steven Pennington, Samantha Pennington, all of Russellville; sisters, Wanda Shotts, of Mississippi, Mildred Barfield, of Tuscumbia, Betty King, of Talladega; brother, Odis Pennington, of Russellville; grandchildren, Austin James, Coban James, Haydn Pennington, Hayli Pennington, Savannah Calloway and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lucienda Pennington.
