Red Bay VG, East Franklin JG collect wins

EAST FRANKLIN – The East Franklin junior girls improved to 8-3 this season as they defeated Vina 43-28 Tuesday night.
The Lady Rebels led by only four points at halftime but outscored Vina 25-14 in the second half.
Two East Franklin starters had double-doubles – Kendra Baker had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Ciara Harville added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Autumn Thomas chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds.
Vina's Emily Davidson had a team-high 10 points, while Claudia Townsend and Victoria Cochran each finished with six points.
Red Bay 57
Hatton 52
HATTON – The Red Bay varsity girls beat Hatton 57-52 Tuesday night as Chelsey McWilliams led the Lady Tigers with 25 points.
Morgan Duncan added 18 for Red Bay, and Katilyn Fleming had 18 for Hatton.

Red Bay 43
Hatton defeated the Red Bay varsity Boys 54-43 as Darren Hand led the Hornets with a double-double.
Hand finished with 26 points and 20 rebounds, while Justin Page led the Tigers with 16 points.
Phillips 70
Phil Campbell 58
BEAR CREEK – Phillips jumped out to 13-point first quarter lead to beat Phil Campbell 70-58.
Trent Williams led Phillips with 23 points, while Andy Pounders had 19.
Phil Campbell was led by Caleb Thompson's 18 points.
