The bounty for the person or persons responsible for the death of a local dog has just doubled.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said an anonymous animal lover has put forth an additional $1000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for tying Robert Morrow's English Setter to a set of train tracks causing its death.
The donation this week put the total reward to $2000.
Information has been slow to arrive at the police department and Hargett said he only hopes the increase in reward money will flush out more information.
Morrow began searching for his beloved dog, Doc, when he went missing from the family's yard in early November.
Morrow searched for his dog for two weeks before someone answered an ad he had placed to help find the lost pooch.
The dog was found tied to the tracks and had been struck by a train.
