The funeral for Terry Jay Allen, 60, of Tuscumbia will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31 during a graveside service at Franklin Memorial Gardens.

David L. Hastings, 66, of Red Bay passed away July 23, 2008 at The Meadows in Fulton, Miss.
He was born July 3, 1942 in Itawamba County, Miss. to the Rev. Cliff and Alene Bragg Hastings. He was a brick mason, an artist and was of the Church of God faith.
He was an Alabama Crimson Tide fan and loved football and basketball. He played on the first undefeated football team at Red Bay High School.
Services were Friday, July 25 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay. Jackie Hastings and Don Baggett officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by three daughters, Allison Miller and husband Nathan of Golden, Miss., Melissa Cox and husband Steve of Nettleton, Miss. and Tamatha Gresham and Brad Caudill of Sheffield; two sisters, Joyce Moore Graham of Muscle Shoals and Nancy Hastings of Fulton, Miss.; two brothers, Don Hastings and wife Nancy and Charles Hastings and wife Jean all of Red Bay; seven grandchildren, LaShanda Wingo and husband Joey, Brad Miller, Kalynn Miller, Justin Cox, Zac Cox, Leigh Anne Miller, and Allysa Cox; and one great-grandchild, Hayden Wingo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Bobby Hastings and one grandchild.
Pallbearers were Brad Miller, Justin Cox, Donnie Hastings, Joe Hastings, Steve Moore, Bill Davis and Mark Hastings. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Hastings, Brent Davis, Hayden Wingo, Gib Childers, Doug Ray, Dr. Derrek Menefee and Ped Hicks.

Johnie Curtis "Pop" Murray, 77, of Russellville passed away July 27, 2008.
He was born Sept. 18, 1930 to Moman and Vina Kimbrough Murray in Franklin County.
He is a native of Russellville and was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 31 with Stanley Hargett and Willard Saint officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Arrie Murray and wife Vickie of Russellville and Curtis Murray and wife Candy of Birmingham; daughter, Sue Ann Jones and husband David of Phil Campbell; sister Marciel Waldrop of Russellville; brother Harley Murray of Russellville; brother-in-law James Wimberly of Rogersville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Sue Murray.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Rickey and Billy Ralph Pounders.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Tennessee Valley Hospice.

Floette Ann Motes Hodges, 71, of Spruce Pine passed away July 29, 2008 at Russellville Hospital.
Visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 31 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow with Jeff Whitten officiating.
Burial will be in Spruce Pine Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zachie and Lorienne Winstead; husband Hollis George Motes; two sons, one grandson and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Ernie Hodge; sons, Joey Motes, Roy Motes, Randy Motes and Aaron Motes; daughters, Sheila Newell and Lisa Jackson; several daughter-in-laws, and son-in-laws, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Audrey O'Kelly and Mazel Saint; brothers Chub Winstead, David Winstead and Delano Winstead.
