Cletis H. Ayers, 76, of Russellville passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2008. He was born on May 11, 1932 in Colbert County to James and Vinia Ayers.
Ayers was a member of the Church of Christ and an Army veteran.
The visitation was held June 27 at Akins Funeral Home. The funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel June 28 with Bro. Ricky Alexander and Bro. Verbon Vandiver officiating, with interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James B. Ayers and Vinia Hammack Ayers, four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife Vivian E. Bolton Ayers; children, Roger Ayers and wife, Dianne, Wanda Hacker and husband, Lee, and Gary Taylor; and two brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lola M. Gattis, 71, of Russellville passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Russellville Hospital.
The visitation was held July 31 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 1 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jim Lumpkin officiating. Interment will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Gattis, and parents, John and Sadie Matthews.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Riner, Spring Valley, Debra Brittnell, Leighton; son, Phillip Gattis, Russellville; granddaughters, Sarah and Jamie Hollis, Leighton; Tracy and Douglas McCaig, Belgreen; sister, Johny Washington; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Gattis, Kelsey Gattis, Katie McCaig, Kendel McCaig, Gabby Hollis, Rane Hollis, J.R. Hollis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
