Charles "Buck" Oscar Rollins, 75, of Phil Campbell passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at his residence.
He was a native of Birmingham but had lived in this area for the past 45 years. He was a member of Lawler Chapel Church. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 880 and was volunteer firefighter for 25 years and an EMT for Phil Campbell Rescue for nine years.
His funeral service was Sept. 20 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Jerry Lawler officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Rollins; children, William David Rollins of Chico, Calif., Lynda Lacey of Phil Campbell, Joshua Rollins of Georgia and Andrew Rollins of Phil Campbell; sister, Dot Knight and husband Gerald of Russellville; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Oscar and Doshie Cofield Rollins; daughter, Deborah Rollins; and grandson, Christopher Kyle Lacey.
Pallbearers were Jason Rollins, Matthew Duncan, Kevin Lacey, Stephen Lacey, Alan Hufstatler and Phillip Duncan.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
