Claudine Scott, 78, of Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
The visitation was held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Akins Funeral Home. Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, March 20, 2009 with Bro. Jerry Pounders and Bro. Grady Parrish officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Scott; parents, Charles Harrel and Stella Harrel; brothers, Eugene Harrel, Charles Junior Harrel; grandson, Patrick Scott; great grandson, Mason Scott.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Dale Scott and wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Kathy Fretwell; sisters, Pauline Witt, Kathleen Weekly; grandchildren, Jenny Mayfield and husband, Willard; grandson, Jeremy Scott and wife, Christy; great granddaughter, Justin and Ashley Mayfield, Noah Riley Scott; several nieces and nephews.

Jolene Alvie Fowler, 66 of Haleyville, died March 8, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham.
She was born in Franklin County Dec. 8, 1942 to George and Flora Smith.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by special friend, Waymon Hood; a daughter, Louis Harper; a bother Larry Smith; and grandchildren Carrie Harper and Elijah Harper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Fowler; daughter Yolanda Fowler and her parents.
Funeral services were held March 20, 2009 at Pinkard Funeral Home with Billy Brasher and Curtis Taylor officiating. Burial was in Littleville Cemetery in Haleyville.
