Bernece James King, 91, Russellville, Ala. passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at Russellville Hospital.
Mrs. King lived her entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Isbell Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 12, 2009, 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with George Hutto officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
She is survived by her son, Luther B. James and wife, Claudia, of Spruce Pine; sister, Doris Barber and husband, Charles, of Winter Haven, Fla.; grandchildren, Todd and Cathy James; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Henry I. King and Zollie R. James.
John William "Bro. Bill" Pike

John William "Bro. Bill" Pike, 82, of Bear Creek, Ala. passed away Dec. 9, 2009 at his home. He was a Baptist minister for over 50 years, served in the United States Army, and a retired State Bus Inspector.
Funeral services were held Dec. 11, 2009 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Billy Brasher, George Jones and Ronnie Marbutt officiating. Burial was in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Crowe Pike; children, John W. Pike, Jr. and his wife, Dean, Doris Pike Comeens and her husband, Hillard, Ruben Allen Pike and his wife, Brenda, Rebecca Pike Tittle and her husband, Donald, Stephen Ray Pike and his wife, Gina, Sherri Pike Caldwell and her husband, Scott; grandchildren, Regina Pike Galloway and her husband, Tony, Susan Comeens Potts and her husband, John, Shae Tittle Griffin and her husband, Trey, Lisa Comeens Powell and her husband, Tom, Avery Pike, Brett Tittle, and Amy Pike Hogan; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Winnie Pike; sisters, Clara Pike Brown, Thelma Pike Daniels, Myrtis Pike and Ruth Pike Harris.
Roger Hargett

Roger Dale Hargett, age 51, died Thursday, December 10, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Clay "Cotton" Hargett; mother, Barbara Ann Easton and uncle Jake Simmons.
Mr. Hargett is survived by wife, Rita Hargett; sons, Kevin Ashley, Dustin Hargett; daughter, Melissa (Adam) Liles; grandchildren, Hana Liles, Eren Liles, and Madison Liles; brothers and sisters, Teresa (William) Burcham, Cindy (Marvin) Scott, Junior Kimbrough, Jeff (Beverly) Hargett, Kevin (Kim) Hargett, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jonathan and Lindsey Wilson, Helen Keller Hospice and the fourth floor central of Helen Keller Hospital for their love and care.
Roger Hargett was a great friend to all and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed.
