Re-naming of air field well deserved

By Staff
Bill Pugh has spent years working for the Russellville Municipal Airport.
Pugh has served not as an employee, but as a volunteer.
In recent years and partly due to Pugh's hard work, the airport has undergone extensive improvements and renovations.
Friday the place he spent so much time working for was named in his honor.
Local officials named the field there Bill Pugh Field.
It is a fitting tribute for a man who worked tirelessly on something that many people even fail to remember we have here.
Through his efforts, as well as many others, the airport has become a top notch facility, especially when compared to others of comparable size.
The Bill Pugh Field at Russellville Municipal Airport has a good ring to it.
It was certainly deserved.
